Where Should You Advertise Your Beats Online?

Where Should You Advertise Your Beats Online: I’ve been asked this question a lot lately. Producers want to know the best place to advertise their beats so they can increase their sales. To be honest I think there is a lot of places a producer can advertise their beats. So I’ve decided to write this article focusing on nothing but all the places I recommend you get some ads on to help boost your beat sales.

I’ll go into as much detail as possible as to why the places I’ve picked are great to advertise on for a beat-maker.

1. WorldStarHipHop.com: I think this is a place everybody should look into for advertising, here’s why. WSHH is arguably the number one hip-hop website out there. If you ask someone who likes rap/hip-hop music what site they go to the most for music updates, they’ll most likely say this one. This is not a site for producers on a budget. Their ad prices are a little on the high-end, but the traffic is quality and well worth it. If you decide to start advertising with WSHH just keep in mind that there are a couple of different routes you can take. You could simply submit a video of you making beats as a form of advertising with a link to your website. If they like your video they’ll upload it for free. If not it’s about $600 for them to post it. They also have banner ads you can purchase and even a featured spot that I know has to be $5,000+ but I believe you would receive tons of beat sales if you purchased that ad spot.

2. Datpiff.com: This is one of the top websites that people download mixtapes from. I have spent thousands of dollars with this website for my group’s music projects and the conversions are great. I always see all types of advertising on this site from t-shirts to jewelery. I have seen people pay for advertising on this site attempting to increase their beat sales and based on how long their campaign was running I know they were receiving great results. So make sure you head over to their site and contact them for their media package to see if this is the right site for you to advertise your beats on.

3. HipHopEarly.com: This is a site that people come to faithfully to download or listen to all the newest hip-hop singles. They strictly focus on individual tracks on this website. You could easily contact them for their media package and purchase a “featured track” slot and instead of paying for a song for them to promote you could send in a beat. They also have some great ad positions for you to get some advertising going with them. I think the people who run this site are the same people from datpiff.com. So check them out and contact them for their media package and see if this is the place for you.

These site’s that I have mentioned above are only a few that you should advertise on to increase your beats sales. The more the better and once you figure that out you’ll start to become even more creative on how to advertise and get your beats out there. Below I have listed some more place I recommend you check out for their advertising rates. Although I wont elaborate on them like the other ones these are still great sites to considers advertising with.

- HotNewHipHop.com

-HipHopDX.com

-AllHipHop.com

-HipHopWired.com

-iLoveMyEgo.com

-Google Adwords (This is a platform Google created to help you advertise to people based on their search results. Example: Someone types is “cheap beats.” In Google your advertisement pops up, if they click it you make a sale. This works on a cost pay per click basis (PPC). Type in Google Adwords at Google.com for more details).

There are probably hundreds of more places you could advertise your beats on to help increase your sales; but I think the information I’ve given is enough to get you started.
